  Depending on the size of your boat, you have the choice between
the D150 D190 and D636.

  BMW In-Line 6 Marine Diesels, like modern race engines, are of a tunnel-bore design.

  In a tunnel-bore engine, the crankshaft is inserted inside the engine block rather than bolted to the bottom of the block. In 1988 Mercury of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, continued producing these engines under their own name.

  Today Cummins-Mercruiser still distributes this engine in the 4.2L displacement. Many parts in our inventory will fit all of these engines, produced from 1980 through to 2007.
